We’re hiring a skilled and self-sufficient WordPress Developer to support and scale our affiliate websites in the hair and dental clinic niches. These sites are actively generating leads and undergoing a complete upgrade—custom plugins, faster performance, and a better UX are at the core of this push. You’ll work alongside the founder and marketing lead to implement high-impact changes.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain custom plugins and features (e.g., toplist blocks with filters and ratings)
  • Optimize site speed and performance (asset management, caching, database cleanup)
  • Customize and streamline themes (especially GeneratePress child theme)
  • Build and maintain staging environments and push safely to production
  • Implement custom environments for logged-in users, including content and settings
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide clean, modular code
  • Collaborate with the Affiliate Site Manager to implement A/B test variants and SEO improvements
  • Ensure scalability and clean architecture across 10+ live sites

Must-Have Skills

  • Solid experience with custom WordPress plugin development
  • Strong grasp of PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and the WordPress ecosystem
  • Experience with GeneratePress and/or other lightweight theme frameworks
  • Familiarity with performance tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WP Rocket, Query Monitor)
  • Comfortable working with staging environments, Git, and deployment workflows
  • Able to work independently and figure out problems proactively

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience integrating tools like Zapier, Pipedrive, or webhooks
  • Knowledge of security best practices for affiliate/lead-gen sites
  • Understanding of custom user environments or gated content systems
  • Familiarity with headless setups or future-proof WordPress architecture
